BookFusion Announces Partnership with Grenada’s Ministry of Education

We’re thrilled to announce that BookFusion has been selected as the digital learning platform for Grenada’s Ministry of Education, supporting their ambitious initiative to provide e-books and laptops to all Form One and Form Two students in public secondary schools starting September 2025.

From this semester, Grenadian students will have access to e-books for core subjects including Mathematics, English, Geography, Social Studies, Science, Home Economics, Agriculture Science, and modern languages through the BookFusion platform. Minister for Education Sen. the Hon. David Andrew gave an overview of the programme at the launch stating,

Each student will access their materials through a secure Microsoft 365 account with single sign-on access to their digital textbooks, creating a seamless learning experience.

A Natural Expansion Across the Caribbean

This partnership represents an exciting expansion of our growing presence across the Caribbean region. For over five years, BookFusion has been partnering with Jamaica’s Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information, providing a free digital library with over 70 educational resources accessible to students, teachers, and parents island-wide. We’re also proud partners with Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, and are actively working with other countries throughout the region to develop accessible digital textbooks and experiment with digital learning formats.

Our platform enables users to access content both online and offline on any device, whether desktop, tablet, or smartphone, ensuring that connectivity challenges never stand in the way of learning. The success we’ve seen across these partnerships has demonstrated the transformative power of accessible digital learning, and we’re honoured to bring that experience to Grenada.

Supporting Grenada’s Digital Transformation

At the launch of Grenada’s digital education initiative, Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell commended the Ministry of Education and partners for providing students with laptops and e-books, emphasising that the theme “Reimagining Education: Transforming Classrooms, Empowering Futures” should serve as a guiding vision for lasting transformation in education.

What sets this initiative apart is its thoughtful approach to equity and access. The cost-sharing partnership between the Ministry and parents, combined with options for students to use personal devices, ensures that every student can participate. The inclusion of offline access means that students with limited internet connectivity at home won’t be left behind and they can download their textbooks and study anywhere, anytime from any device.

Looking Ahead

The Ministry of Education’s announcement notes that this rollout to Forms One and Two represents the first phase of the programme, with plans for expansion to additional form levels in the future. Senior IT Officer Kade De Coteau also commented on the ministry’s full vision for the initiative as an ecosystem rather than a single-faceted tech upgrade,

We’re excited to be part of this journey from the beginning and to grow alongside Grenada’s digital learning ecosystem.

We’re honoured that the Grenadian Ministry of Education has chosen BookFusion to support their vision of preparing students for the digital age. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that every student has access to quality educational resources and the tools they need to succeed.
