Secondary School Textbooks and Resources

Many secondary schools across Jamaica now provide their students with access to BookFusion’s digital library through licenses arranged by the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information (MoESYI). These licenses cover official booklist textbooks and learning resources that are part of the national curriculum, ensuring students have the exact materials they need for their classes.

With a BookFusion account, students can read these textbooks on their phone, tablet, or computer. Sponsored Licenses for Required School Books

Every school year, parents are faced with the challenge of sourcing all the books on the official school list. Through the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information (MoESYI) and BookFusion partnership, some of these required secondary school textbooks are now covered under a sponsored license, meaning they are provided at no cost to families.

These sponsored books are the exact editions used in the classroom, now available as eBooks that students can access anytime, anywhere. Once a request is approved, the book appears in your child’s BookFusion library, ready to read, highlight, and study from on any device.

For parents, this means one less financial burden and the peace of mind knowing that your child has the right materials from day one. For students, it means they can focus on learning rather than worrying about finding or replacing a book.

How to Request Books

Getting your sponsored textbooks is quick and easy — and it’s all online.

1. Open the Request Form – Visit the official Ministry of Education & BookFusion request page.
   
2. Enter Student Information – Add your child’s name, school, and grade level so we can confirm eligibility.
   
3. Choose Your Books – Select the titles your child needs from the list of sponsored books.
   
4. Submit & Start Reading – Once approved, the books appear in your BookFusion library, ready to read anytime, anywhere.
   

Important: Use the same email address on the request form as the one on your BookFusion account. That’s how we match your request and deliver the books to the right library. If you’re new to BookFusion, create a free account first using the email you plan to put on the form.

MoESYI’s Public Library Access — Free for Every Jamaican

Here’s something many people don’t know (but should!): through the MoESYI, a digital collection of interactive storybooks, history books and textbooks is available to everyone in Jamaica — completely free. All you need is a device and internet connection to download, and you have instant access to:

• Interactive books with natural Jamaican voiceover, read-along animation, and built-in-activities, perfect for primary school children.
  
• Caribbean literature and Jamaican authors that celebrate our culture and history.
  
• Educational resources for all ages, including PEP guides.
